Jordan Lofthouse
Bio
Jordan Lofthouse is the Program Director of Academic & Student Programs, a Senior Fellow with the F. A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and a Senior Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He earned a Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University in 2020. Prior to his doctoral program, he obtained an M.S. in economics in 2016 and a B.S. in geography in 2014, both from Utah State University.
In his role as Program Director of Academic & Student Programs, he oversees several fellowships, including the Adam Smith Fellowship Applied Sequence, Adam Smith Fellowship Research Sequence, Frédéric Bastiat Fellowship Research Sequence, Don Lavoie Fellowship Applied Sequence, and the Mercatus Visiting Dissertation Fellowship.
As a Senior Fellow with the Hayek Program, Jordan conducts research related to the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy, exploring topics such as environmental economics, Native American economic development, entrepreneurship, and disaster recovery.
