Bio
Ryan Whitby earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Utah in 2007. He spent five years as an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University before joining Utah State University (USU) in 2012, where he is currently a Professor of Finance in the Department of Economics and Finance at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.
Ryan has diverse research interests and has published articles in finance, real estate, and economics journals. At the Huntsman School, he has taught various courses, including Fundamentals of Finance II, Investments, Real Estate Finance, and more. He serves as the faculty advisor for the Real Estate Club and collaborates with Partners Real Estate Fund (PREF), a student-run investment fund.
