Marilyn Ibarra-Caton
Bio
Marilyn Ibarra-Caton is a Labor Economist with the Department of Defense. She was previously an Associate Professor in the Economics Department at Ave Maria University, where she taught econometrics, economic development, and international trade. Prior to her teaching stint at AMU, she was a Research Economist with the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), where she worked on improvements to statistical research methods in the area of imports and exports of services. She also led an innovative collaboration between the BEA and the Census Bureau to link multinational enterprises data to better understand the impact of globalization on US multinational enterprises. She completed her PhD at the University of Georgia, where she developed a wide range of research interests in the fields of labor and international trade.
