Carlos Sepúlveda
Bio
Carlos Sepúlveda is an Economics professor and Director of the Center for Equitable and Inclusive Progress at the Universidad del Rosario in Colombia. After earning a doctorate in economics from Boston University, he has developed a career in high-level positions in academia and the public sector in Colombia. For eight years (2015–2023), he held the position of Dean of Economics at Rosario. In the public sector, he has been the coordinator of two Colombian National Development Plans and the 2050 Colombian Vision. He has also been part of different independent expert groups that advise governments on different issues: poverty, the labor market, inequality, and socioeconomic stratification. In 2008, he served as Deputy Director General of the National Department of Statistics of Colombia.
