Alexander Sarango-Iturralde

Bio

Alexander Sarango-Iturralde is a PhD student at the École Doctorale Économie Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a researcher at the Labor Observatory of the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia, dedicated to research in the areas of labor economics, migration, and well-being.

His research addresses issues such as job polarisation, the informal sector, skills mismatches, green jobs, the impact of migration on labor markets and the assimilation of migrants. His multidisciplinary approach focuses on understanding the welfare implications of these issues and developing an equity-focused research agenda.

He has worked on research projects funded by the World Bank (WB), the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) and others. He is a scholarship holder of the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD). He also received a scholarship for young researchers from the Universidad del Rosario. He was born in Quito, Ecuador.
