Bio
Luís is a PhD student in Economics at Nova SBE, and is currently a “PhD Trainee” at the European Central Bank (DG Statistics). Between 2015 and 2018, Luís was the executive director of the Institute for Public Policy, where he currently is a research fellow.
He holds a bachelor degree in Economics from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG – University of Lisbon) having spent time as a visiting student at Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) University, and a Master’s degree in Finance from NOVA SBE (with a major in financial regulation and supervision, and a dissertation on the resolution of Banco Espírito Santo). He was an assistant professor at the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG – University of Lisbon) between 2016 and 2018.
Luís participated in other research projects in economics, namely in public finances. He has also been involved in the written and online press in the area of public finance and European affairs (Fórum Estudante, i, Observer, Público, Expresso).
