Ya-Wei (Jake) Li
Bio
Ya-Wei (Jake) Li is the Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pesticide Programs at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Save The Snakes and is the Director for Biodiversity at the Environmental Policy Innovation Center. Previously, he was the Director of the Center for Conservation Innovation at Defenders of Wildlife, where he focused on pragmatic ways to conserve imperiled species, particularly using the U.S. Endangered Species Act. Ya-Wei has a background in law and economics, holding a J.D. from Cornell Law School and completing graduate courses in conservation biology and herpetology. He is licensed by the DC Bar and has certifications in Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leadership and Venomous Reptile Safety and Husbandry Training.
