Joanne Haddad
Bio
Joanne Haddad is a distinguished FNRS postdoctoral research fellow at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ECARES). She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Ottawa in May 2021. Following her doctorate, Dr. Haddad worked on an ERC grant concentrating on the themes of “Inheritance, Demographics and Economic Development.”
Dr. Haddad’s research interests span economic history, gender and demography, labor economics, and political economy. These areas reflect her commitment to understanding and exploring the intricate dynamics of economic systems and societal structures.
In addition to her primary role, Dr. Haddad is actively involved in various professional affiliations. She serves as a Reproducibility Analyst at the Institute for Replication (I4R), a Research Affiliate at the Global Labor Organization (GLO), and is a member of the Ottawa Applied Microeconomics Lab, the Junior Applied Microeconomists in Europe (JAMiE), and the ECARES reading group.
