Michelangelo Landgrave
Bio
Michelangelo Landgrave is the Assistant Professor at the Harry S. Truman School of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Missouri. His expertise spans state and local politics, legislative studies, and race, ethnicity & immigration politics.
Prior to joining the University of Missouri, he served as a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University’s Department of Politics and the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics. He also contributed his expertise as an associate fellow at the US Federal Government’s Office of Evaluation Sciences.
Michelangelo earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California and a Master’s degree in Economics from California State University. His rigorous research has been published in prestigious publications like Political Analysis, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, among other top-tier outlets.
He received a joint predoctoral fellowship from the Mexican National Council of Science and Technology and the University of California Institute for Mexico and the United States during his graduate studies. Michelangelo is also an alumnus of the American Political Science Association minority fellowship, reflecting his commitment to advancing political science.
