Michele Waslin
Bio
Dr. Michele Waslin has a substantial body of work in the field of immigration policy, including numerous publications and book chapters. Her insights have been featured in both English- and Spanish-language media outlets. Currently, she serves as the Interim Director of the Immigration History Research Center at the University of Minnesota. Her previous roles include Program Coordinator at the IIR, Senior Policy Analyst at the American Immigration Council, Manager of the Immigration and the States project at the Pew Charitable Trusts, and Director of Immigration Policy Research at UnidosUS (formerly known as the National Council of La Raza).
Michele earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Creighton University, followed by a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Chicago. She completed her academic journey with a PhD in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
