Nathan Goodman
Bio
Nathan is a Senior Fellow at the F.A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Nathan is also affiliated with the Program on the Foundations of the Market Economy at New York University. He obtained his PhD in economics from George Mason University, where he held esteemed positions as a PhD fellow at the Mercatus Center and a Graduate Fellow with the F.A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
Nathan’s research encompasses various areas within the field of economics, including political economy, applied microeconomics, market process economics, New Institutional Economics, and defense economics. His primary focus is on analyzing the influence of different institutional arrangements on the provision of security. He has a particular interest in studying topics such as border militarization and the political economy of immigration policy.
