Nina Boberg-Fazlić

Bio

Nina Boberg-Fazlic is a Junior Professor at TU Dortmund University, specializing in economic history, demographic economics, and economic growth and development. She is a postdoctoral researcher in the department of business and economics, affiliated with the Historical Economics and Development Group (HEDG).

With a PhD in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and prior postdoctoral research experience at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, Nina secured an individual postdoc grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark for her project “Effects of migration – Evidence from historical Denmark.” Her successful work in this area led to her current role at SDU, where she contributes to the “Conflict Development” project led by Paul Sharp.

Nina has published in international peer-reviewed journals and serves as a referee for key journals in her field, including The Economic Journal, The Economic History Review, and Demography. Her research has also garnered attention from the press, with coverage in outlets like The Economist and the American Institute for Economic Research.
